In North St. Louis, there's a 5% employment rate, many kids walk to school with no shoes, no jackets in the winter, and no support at home. More often than not, children live with their grandmothers and aunties, and their parents have found themselves on the streets — one of the only places they feel they can turn a profit. Often, school is the only safe place, and the only source of hope and support in these kids' lives. The Little Bit Foundation exists to clothe, feed, provide all basic needs, including to love, listen, and to provide support, helping children achieve to their full potential.
